HAUG HAUS  is the workspace of Lauren Haug. 

I explore the magic of the mundane. That specific feeling we all recognize but cannot explain; the feeling like we've been here before, but can't recognize how. It's the hauntingly warm embrace of the past.  Objects, places, and beings hold more energy than we realize, and I enjoy showcasing those energies. It is in those moments that you truly see the magic in humanity; hiding in plain sight.  

Originally from Toms River, New Jersey, I pursued my higher education at Monmouth University in order to strengthen my multi-faceted technical knowledge. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelors in Fine Arts, 2021. 

Currently residing in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

In the summer of 2022, 11 area artists were commissioned to create murals on the Wastewater Treatment Plant on the North end of the Asbury Park Boardwalk. This initiative was supported by the Asbury Park Arts Council, the City of Asbury Park and Monmouth Arts.

Lauren Haug is a third-year student at Monmouth University pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, and she’s all-too familiar with the reactions that come with being a student interested in following a passion for art into higher education.
